British journalist Jeremy Clarkson once publicly said he will never have an electric car, we wonder if this newly revealed Dodge Charger Daytona SRT might just turn his head.

Well of course this isn’t about him. It’s about this new beast of metal which surprisingly purr’s different.

Here’s what we know

We know that the SRT is a battery electric muscle car.

The Dodge is an electric concept that shows just what the company has in store for its post-2023 production in muscle machines.

This new half-electric machine took a few sexy tips from its predecessor, the original Charger Daytona for inspiration on its R-Wing nose design.

The R-wing is the machines aerodynamic nose in honor of Gary Romberg to help coordinate air where it’s needed during motion.

This battery-electric concept may just be a step forward into the future as it comes with three different powertrains that are spread across three trim levels.

The connections will then offer two kits per trim level, multi-speed electro-mechanical transmission, while maintaining its bad-$ appeal.

This charger comes with an exhaust system, well sort of because there’s no combustion. Let’s just say it’s a new version of an exhaust pipe, called the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust.

This technical type exhaust features a split deltoid made of three arrowhead shapes that form a three-pointed star.

The system pushes sound through an amplifier and tuning chamber located at the rear of the SRT.

Before you think it’s a speaker replicating noise, it’s not. There’s pressure that pushes air through a device to generate sound.

Yes, tech talk. But all it means is what’s under the hood.

This tells you how fast you can push this new half old school-half new school machine.

This Daytona SRT is the franchises plan for the future.

Most facts are yet to be confirmed, such as tire size, specs on the number of doors you can have, and what production specifics the muscle car will come with.

We thought it would be great to show you what your favourite old school muscle car could look like with the future in mind.
