The Pentafoil five-layer co-extruded blown film line is equipped with the new generation blown film technology and can produce up to 700-kg of film in an hour with maximum film width of 2,500-mm from a 550 mm die and maximum line speed of 150-mpm

Khushboo Doshi, managing director, Rajoo Engineers, said, “Pentafoil is the upgraded version of the existing five-layer co-extruded blown film line. It is equipped with Industry 4.0 support system and was developed for converters who have higher demand for consistently high quality blown films.

Doshi also thanked the visitors who attended the open house and witnessed the running of the machine at the speed of 120-mpm.

“If we go for a thicker gauge of the film then production can go up to 800-kg/hr. The machine can produce multiple types of blown films for packaging from 20 to 200 microns. During the live demonstration, we produced films of 22 microns,” Doshi said. With this machine, we are ready to target the overseas market, especially the European market, aggressively.”

Now, the company is also offering customised solutions for the processors and converters as everyone has its unique requirement.

“We are completely flexible in our approach. For any technical discussion and innovation, we have the Rajoo Innovation Centre, where we can discuss all the possibilities with the customers when it comes to technicalities, production and applications. We are planning to interact with brand owners because they are the ultimate drivers of the entire value chain to develop our machines accordingly,” Doshi said.

Doshi added that Pentafoil is a completely automated machine and it can be operated by a single person. “Though the machine is for big processors and converters, we are happy to say that we have solutions for customers for each scale. We are working on total experience for the customers; our technical team discusses with their technical team to offer “appropriate technology” and produces machines according to their specific needs. We can give them whatever they want,” Doshi explained.
