You put all the effort into your summer bod, so now is the time to treat yourself. Between Tenderfest celebrating all things chicken tender, Black Restaurant Week kicking off, BBQ Music Fest, a Whiskey Fest and several wine tastings, you’re gourmand weekend is planned out for you. 

Coffee and a Concert: Head out to Casa Romantica in San Clemente to sip some High Tide Coffee and enjoy live music. 

LA Magazine’s Whiskey Festival: Fancy a pour? The first of many Whiskey Fests around Los Angeles takes place at the Bloc DTLA. 

Mario Aguilar at the Wiltern: The YouTube comedian will perform in KTown. 

River Butcher at the Elysian: The stand-up will perform for one night only at the Elysian. 

Warpaint at The Ford: The LA rock band will play in Hollywood. 

Lights Out Comedy Wrestling Match: See actual comedians wrestle, and others do their traditional stand-up set. Wrestlers include Jim Logan vs. RJ Santos and host Kaitlin Mamie vs. Mandy O’Shaughnessy.

Gipsy Kings at the Hollywood Bowl: The Flamenco band will play in Hollywood. 

Makeshift Muse Market in Old Pasadena: The family friendly market will showcase over 40 small businesses and artists hocking goods, food and performing live music. 

Queer Mercado: Over in East L.A. you can check out this monthly celebration of local art and queer culture. 

Making Scents of the Ancient World: The Getty will host a perfume making workshop open to families for free with registration. 

Indiginous Dance Celebration: Kathy Willcuts and Steven Garcia will perform various Native dance traditions at the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center.

Hollyhock House Lawn Party: The newly re-opened Frank Lloyd Wright house will be hosting a family friendly lawn party, complete with a show from the Bob Baker Marionette Company. 

Hija De Tu Madre Pop-Up: For National Latina Day, Hija De Tu Madre is hosting a pop-up at The Plant Chica in the West Adams/Crenshaw area. Vendors will be all by Latina owned businesses. 

Dogust: This pet friendly birthday celebration for shelter pets will take place at the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace in Playa Vista. 

Lotzilla Death to Summer: Eagle Rock comic and collectibles staple Revenge Of hosts a convention of sorts for local collectors to nab rare figures, toys, posters and of course pizza. 

TenderFest: Chefs Tim Hollingsworth, Marc Iacono, Nyesha Arrington and more will go head to head to compete in the ConTender Championships deciding who has the best chicken tender, while attendees can also try classic tenders from Howlin’ Rays, Raising Cane’s and more. 

South Park 25th Anniversary Experience: Right in the heart of Hollywood fans can gather to celebrate 25 years of South Park.

Mas Vino Please – Vino and Bunz: Ever pair wine with a hot dog? Mas Vino Please and Taste Buds invites you to try a Colombian Dog, Market Dog or Cat Dog with a glass of wine in DTLA.

Armenian Wine Tasting: San Marino Marketplace and Cafe in Pasadena will host a happy hour serving Armenian wines. 

Protest Poster Making Workshop: 18th Street Arts Center and their Imaginary Dwellings installation will inspire creators to attempt their own protest art.

Melrose Hill Block Party: General admission is free or the 21+ crowd can enjoy an open bar ticket for $50. Music from Reese Cooper, Dirty Dan and TikTokers Party Shirt. 

Chinatown Summer Nights: Live music, a collection of food trucks and food stalls from Chinese chefs and a plethora of vendors will decorate Central Plaza. 

Derrick Morgan at the El Rey: The Ska legend will perform in Mid-City. 

Mae Martin and Friends: The stand-up will perform at Largo. 

Dynasty Tonight: The comedy showcase at the Hayworth features Kimberly Clark, Fumi Abe, Sean Conroy, Ever Mainard and Frankie Quiñones.

Summer Saturdays at Hauser & Wirth’s: DJ Sizzle Fantastic will spin in the garden. 

Breakfast with the Beatles: Chris Garter of KLOS will host a live broadcast of his long-running radio program alongside the breakfast buffet at the Hard Rock Cafe. 

City of Hope Poker Tournament: This fundraiser will also have a photobooth, pet adoption shopping, lipstick readings and more to raise money for research to cure cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. 

Wonderwerk Enzo Wine Launch Party: The natural wine company will celebrate the debut of their Enzo wine at Everson Royce Bar in DTLA. There will be live music and pizza. 

Nonsemble: This one hour revue features 26 unique works performed by clowns, comedians and musicians. 

Cool Hand Luke at The Academy Museum: Watch the Paul Newman classic at the Museum’s David Geffen Theater. 

Goose at the Greek: The American jam band will play in the Griffith Park ampitheatre. 

Flying Lotus at the Hollywood Bowl: The DJ-Producer-Rapper will perform with Hiatus Kaiyote and live orchestra. 

Black Restaurant Week: Discover a new favorite restaurant, bakery or food truck participating in the week long gourmand event celebrating Black excellence in the culinary arts. Participating kitchens include Post & Beam Restaurant, Voodoo Vegan, L.A. Grind Coffee & Tea Bar and many, many more. 

818 Fest: A celebration of the San Gabriel Valley hosted at the Topanga Westfield this Thursday thru Sunday. There’s a family fun arcade, face painting and story time for the kiddos, and a beer garden for the adults. 

BBQ Music Fest: Next to Huntington Beach in Fountain Valley is a festival to meet all your meat needs. 

KCon: The K-Pop Convention will run at the Crypto.com Arena all weekend featuring performances from Loona, Itzy, P1Harmony and more. Meet and greets with the artists are available at a higher price point. 

Splash House: Over in Palm Springs is weekend two of this multi-hotel hosted music festival. Acts include Banter, Ron Beatz, Sam Hiller and more. 

Echo Farce Rising: Since Echo Park Rising isn’t happening this year, The Echo and Echoplex has taken it upon themselves to throw a music festival. 

Head In The Clouds Festival: Over at the Rose Bowl you can dance to your heart’s content at HITC. Acts include Camgirl, Teriyaki Boyz, Jackson Wang and more. 

Beauty and the Beast at El Capitan: The animated Disney renaissance classic will screen at the historic hollywood theater. 

Wings Over Camarillo: Witness an airshow on coastal Camarillo. 

Double-feature of Reservoir Dogs and Slacker: Tarantino’s New Beverly will show his classic film paired with Linklater’s second feature film. Both films uniquely feature their directors in main roles. 

Ron Lynch at the Elysian: The comedian is hosting a raunchy late night style show over two nights featuring special guests Ian McPherson, Allie Goertz and more.
